PROGRAM

DAY 1

Departure.

DAY 2

Welcome to Dar Es Salaam Airport. We take a flight to Selous Game Reserve (Tanzania), inscribed on UNESCO’s World Heritage List. We take a quick ride around the reserve with 4&4s (Land Rover or Land Cruiser).

DAY 3

Once we’ve eaten breakfast, it’s time for all day long game drive! Selous Game Reserve is the biggest reserve not only in Tanzania but also in the world, covering the area of 55 thousand km2. There are not so many visitors here (comparing to other parks in the North of the country), which makes it still quite “wild”. Our game drive enables us  to see almost all animals living in Tanzania: giraffes, buffalos, elephants, monkeys, antelopes, lions, crocodiles as well as hippos that thanks to the presence of the Rufiji River live here in great numbers. A part of the day we stay close to the wildlife on a boat.

DAY 4

In the early morning we set off to see predators coming back from their night prowls. After breakfast we take a flight to Zanzibar. Once we’ve arrived in Stone Town we’re transferred to the hotel.

DAY 5

Today we spend a relaxing day at the hotel located next to a beautiful Zanzibar beach.

DAY 6

After breakfast we go to see dolphins in Kizimkazi, a fishermen village in the South part of the island. It’s possible to snorkel next to the boat. On the way back we pay a visit to Jozani Forest and its characteristic Red Colobus monkeys that live exclusively in Zanzibar.

DAY 7

It’s a day of enjoying sun, palm trees, white sandy beach and sky-blue water.

DAY 8

After breakfast we visit Stone Town and its historic part. We sightsee the most famous Zanzibar buildings: House of Wonders, Palace Museum, Arab Fort as well as characteristic ornamented doors, vibrant market, winding streets, two cathedrals and countless mosques. On our way back we stop by at a spice farm.

DAY 9

A relaxing day at the beach.

DAY 10

Breakfast and then free time. We’re transferred to the Stone Town airport and we fly back to Europe through one of European airports. Good bye Zanzibar!
